Cosmos Series
From early childhood I have always been fascinated with deep space. In fact, while other kids wanted to be firemen, policemen, or dentists, I wanted to be an astronomer. Later, architect and brothel manager moved to the forefront, but neither materialized. With the invention of the Hubbell telescope, what was once science fiction became fact, and I was hooked even more. My objective with this series was to use my black hole imagination, as well as Hubbell's influence, to create my own deep space imagery. What looks like random shapes within each one began as an actual photograph; they just get altered a bit. If the titles are read in reverse order, that particular seed is revealed.
In conjunction with Cosmos Series is a quick jaunt along a separate path, one that is based on the phrase: a rip in the fabric of space and time, in which a scene is torn in two, revealing the cosmos behind it. Not sure where this one is heading or where it should be categorized, but it's here for now.
