[Mandalas Intro] [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7]

From the manipulated montage has emerged a further step that obviously could not exist with the paintings, and that involves symmetrically repeating/rotating the entire work around a corner point to achieve four separate sections that are then pieced together, resulting in an eye-popping composition. Finally, it is cut into a circular shape into what is known as a mandala.

Although the term was originally termed by Tibetan monks for their sand paintings, it now seems to apply to all round-shaped, kaleidoscope-like imagery. This resulting design is quite fascinating to me, satisfying my analytical, mathematical side, as well as my artistic side. They too are printed as photographs, so they may satisfy the limited budget.
