From an early childhood I've always been fascinated with outer space. In fact, while other kids wanted to be firemen, policemen, or dentists, I wanted to be an astronomer. Later, architect and brothel manager moved to the forefront, but neither materialized.
In those early years actual images of anything "out there" were practically non-existent or they were just an artists' perceptions that made the imaginary look real. With the advent of the Hubbell telescope all that changed: now what's real looks imaginary.
So my objective with this series was to use my black hole imagination, as well as Hubbell influence, to create my own deep space imagery. I do begin each creation with an actual image, however, but then I start applying blur, changing hue and saturation, and otherwise just having fun – and they even look like they may actually exist.
As an added facet, if the specific title allotted to each particular creation were read in reverse order the viewer will learn with what image I began. Even they sound like they may be actual nebulae or galaxy designations. Enjoy viewing them as much as I did making them – and yes, since there are twelve so far, calendars are available.
